Annual Wine Fair and Dinner
This ever popular event is generally held on the last Saturday of November. It offers the opportunity for members and their guests to sample a wide variety of wines, specially selected by volunteer members, before sitting down to a first class, three course dinner.
There are typically four tasting tables, each offering samples of around ten wines from the start of the evening at 6.30 pm. Plenty of time to socilaise, enjoy some old favourites and look out for some new discoveries. We sit down to dinner in tables of eight at 8.00 pm. Table wine is provided to enjoy with the dinner, at the end of which dessert and fortified wines are made available from our "Post-Prandial" bar. The evening ends around 10.45 pm.
Wine samples of around 40ml are offered at a tariff of between 5 and 20 tokens, depending on the value of the wine. A sheet of 100 tokens is made available to each ticket holder on entry. Additional sheets may be purchased as required.
We have used the same caterers for many years. The choice and quality of food is excellent as is the service provided at table. This event is a highlight of the year and usually attracts around 120 people including member's guests.

The venues we use have adequate parking space available and are wheelchair accessible. Over 18's only.
